But first, a message from your humble
archivist, the Scanner Bitch
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Concern mounts for another missing journalist
who has not posted a classic National Lampoon piece in several weeks. Officials
within the Bush administration expressed concern that this could be another
case of a reporter kidnapped by hostile terrorists, "or...the guy could
just be on a six-week bender," said a source close to the investigation.
An FBI task force searched the home of the "Scanner Bitch" and found the
modest, suburban Washington residence to be a "dump."
A scan of the only computer found on the property revealed little:
forty-two different, pirated MP3 versions for the Phil Collins '80s hit
"Susudio" including a rare dance re-mix, and this article from the July,
1984 National Lampoon magazine, which, in light of current events,
is in extremely poor taste.
