  Wow, horse racing has gone completely Hollywood.

Celebrities. Suspense. Tragedy. Women in objectifying roles.

The celebrities: The Usual Suspects.

The suspense: Two full minutes of racing. I have to hand it to the Derby for realizing our society has the attention span of a 5 year old.

The Tragedy: Sadly, one of the horses, Eight Belles, had to be euthanized post-race. No jokes here.

The women: Wearing large hats and high heels so they can’t run away from the men in their lives who just lost all their money on Bob Black Jack.
